A data platform for healthier fish, greater sustainability, and higher profitability.
Måsøval aims to be one of the leading companies in sustainable aquaculture. Smart use of data, new digital technology, and automation will help achieve this goal. With Forte as a strategic partner, they set out to digitalize large parts of their operations to create lasting competitive advantages. The first step on this journey was to build a data platform.
Utfordring
Måsøval wanted better insights to make informed decisions, increased automation, and improved collaboration and communication in their operational activities. They found it resource-intensive to gather and consolidate necessary information from their sea and land facilities. There was also a need for clearer visibility into where critical data resided, who owned it, and which data was up to date.
Løsning
Together with Forte, Måsøval has built its own data platform. This has contributed to better data management, increased automation, improved insights, and enhanced collaboration and communication.
Several key processes related to planning important operations are now automated. This has resulted in better data quality, giving key personnel more time to implement risk-reducing measures related to operational activities and reducing planning time.
Critical and important insights about environmental conditions are now also collected and presented in a better way for Måsøval. Data on weather, wind, tides, and wave conditions are standardized and made available in a single database, which can be combined with other sources. Altogether, this provides increased predictability in operational management and better insights.

Results
With the help of a new data platform, Måsøval can better manage its data. This includes collecting, storing, analyzing, and visualizing data more efficiently. The data platform has provided Måsøval access to advanced analytical capabilities such as machine learning, statistical analysis, and predictive modeling. This enables the organization to gain insights from its data that would be difficult or impossible to achieve using traditional analytical tools.
Måsøval aims to be one of the leading companies in sustainable aquaculture. Smart use of data, new digital technology, and automation contribute to this goal.
