Introduction:

Tvedt will now become part of Forte Group, the holding company that controls Forte Digital in the markets Norway, Poland, Germany, Denmark, Austria and Switzerland. As Group CTO, Tvedt will be responsible for developing and overseeing the technology strategy across the entire Forte Group.

"With the emergence of more and more international customers, there will be an increased need to develop and implement a unified technology strategy that supports business growth in all regions. Over the past five years, Monica has helped build up what we believe is Norway's leading technology environment. She thus has very valuable knowledge and expertise that will benefit all markets. She will be crucial in securing and continuing the Forte culture in all markets," says John Kårikstad, Group CEO of Forte Digital.

Forte Digital is therefore also looking for a new CTO for Forte Digital Norway. Read more about the position here.

John Kårikstad, Group CEO and Monica Beate Tvedt, Group CTO

In the position as Group CTO, Tvedt will ensure that Forte Digital remains at the forefront of digital innovation, especially in AI, digital platforms and product development. In addition, Monica will play a central role in fostering a cohesive technology culture, driving collaboration and supporting competence development across international teams and offices. Tvedt has previous management experience from Sopra Steria.

Forte Group currently counts more than 350 employees across all markets.

"I have been incredibly lucky to be allowed to help build one of Norway's most solid technology environments. We have created what I believe is a unique culture of competence, with strong professional environments and skilled people. Now I look forward to continuing this culture, finding good synergies and building a unified and stronger Forte Digital across all the countries where we have offices.

Tvedt will ensure that Forte Digital remains at the forefront of digital innovation, especially in AI, digital platforms and product development.

European investment in artificial intelligence

Tvedt will have a special responsibility for driving Forte Digital's new major investment in artificial intelligence in Europe. The ambition is to collaborate with the largest and most forward-thinking European companies in AI. She believes Forte Digital has unique prerequisites for success. Today, Forte Digital helps large companies such as NorgesGruppen, Farmasiet, Mprise, Bauer Media and Wort & Bild with their AI initiative.

"Simply explained, the ambition is for Forte Digital to be the company that guides customers through the AI revolution. It may sound grandiose, but it is actually a revolution we are in the middle of, and there is not an industry that will not be affected by this technology. We will be there to help the largest European companies with the transition and extract the maximum value from AI.

According to Forte Digital's new survey, Forte Pulse 2024, many companies are struggling with this. The survey shows, for example, that only 42 percent use predictive analytics to predict market trends or customer behavior.

I Forte Pulse 2024 takes the pulse of digital maturity among Norwegian and Scandinavian companies.

Tvedt points out that artificial intelligence as a value driver thus remains on the sidelines for many businesses and lack specific applications for innovation and revenue streams. Her message is: Start with the problem, not the technology.

"Explore problems and customer needs, not just the technology. AI is not a magic solution provided by the technology department that will immediately create business value. Currently, it's "only" a powerful tool that allows businesses to create customer and business value by solving problems faster, better, and in new ways. With Forte Digital's interdisciplinary approach to problem solving, we are in a unique position to help large and ambitious customers with just that.
